ABOUT ME

Welcome!

Looks like you want to know more about me.  Well, my name's Lynda. Oh, you want more than that? OK... keep reading....

  Eleven Facts About LyndaSLP123

I live in North Carolina with my husband and 14 year old son.

I've been a registered Child Passenger Safety Technician for the past 10 years.  Yes, I can teach you how to correctly install a carseat.  It's not that hard.

Nothing is more relaxing (to me) than to curl up with a good book and read.

I don't believe in sarcasm. (Re-read that fact with a ton of sarcasm!)

I hate when ice cream manufacturers add chocolate to fruity ice cream flavors.  Ugh! Chocolate swirls or chocolate chips can just ruin a fabulous raspberry ice cream.  I'm not a big fan of chocolate - and I never want it contaminating my ice cream or my milk.

I love attending Lego conventions with my family.

I love to sew.  If you ask my family, they think I mainly love to sew pillowcases.  Between you, me and the internet, I really love sewing skirts.

I don't believe in solid colored pillowcases.  Too boring.  (Yes, there's a good reason why my family thinks I mainly love to sew pillowcases.)

When I was younger, I wanted my life to be a musical.  I thought it would be fabulous to sing about my day, through my day, as my main form of communication.  Some days I still feel that way.  In the privacy of our home, my husband and I have been known to act that way.

I have a quirky sense of humor.

My friends call me a "Coupon Queen".  I did "extreme couponing" before TLC aired their TV show about the "sport".  I actually hate the term "extreme couponing".

And that's a bit about me.... if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask using the comment section below.

I'm glad you decided to check out my little blog.  Make yourself at home and stay awhile!

  1. Lynda, you are my twin in spirit! My life as a child was a musical too! I went every where singing my every thought, feeling, and just to communicate in general. The hills, valleys, streets, woods, buildings, (and on and on) were alive with the sound of music!!
